Located in Louisville, Ohio sits a little gem called Mott's Old Mill Bulk Foods. One of my best friends lives in Louisville and she mentioned to me how they have balsamic vinegar and oils. I took this information, passed it along to my mama and we ventured out that very next Saturday.
*My mom should be a chef by the way, she's only taught me a portion of what she knows in the kitchen.

When you enter the little country store, you are welcomed by boutique style and (what looks like) hand crafted purses, cute scarves, home decor, soaps and other fun gifts and gadgets. Look to your right and you'll see bulk. Bulk oatmeal, bulk flour, bulk pretzels, bulk noodles (of different flavors as well), bulk baking supplies, bulk beans, bulk.... you get the idea. If you need bulk food, head here.
Okay as you make your way through the bulk foods, you turn a corner and (with the music you hear as if the gates of heaven just opened) there it is: a taproom of 35, 36, 40 large chrome canisters of oil and balsamic vinegar. These oil and vinegars are not your typical EVOO or regular dark balsamic. Sure they have them, BUT what's really grand is the infused flavored olive oil and balsamic vinegar (both dark and white). Mott's has feature pairings as well and feel free to try them! Next to each canister are tiny plastic shot cups for tasting individual flavors or try mixing your favorite pairing to taste with your finger.
Pricing at Mott's is very reasonable $5 $10 $15 $25 based on different sized bottles. If you are a returning customer and need a refill, clean your bottles, bring them in and get a $1 off that refill (applies to the $10 bottle up).

What pairings did I purchase you ask?
>>>Tuscan Herb Infused Olive Oil & Sicilian Lemon White Balsamic Vinegar
Together these all around flavors are great for meat marinades, seafood, bread dips and salad dressing.
>>>Blood Orange EVOO & Cranberry Pear White Balsamic Vinegar
I'm thinking this couple will be nice on a strawberry spinach salad and pork! You could also use as a marinade, dressing, and mixed drinks!
*Look for crates at Mott's for nice oil/vinegar organization and check out this cute cruet spritzer:
Here's a quick meal:
Tuscan Herb Infused Olive Oil & Sicilian Lemon White Balsamic Vinegar Couple
- Cube Sweet Italian Turkey Sausage
- Chunk a variety of veggies (I used: mini bell peppers, mini potatoes, red onion, broccoli, squash and garlic)
- I put meat, potatoes & garlic in one bowl and drizzle with the oil/vinegar couple, italian seasoning, garlic salt, salt and pepper
- Place in Airfryer for about 5 minutes on 375 to give them a head start
- I put all other veggies in another bowl and drizzle with oil/vinegar couple, italian seasoning, garlic salt, salt and pepper.
- Add veggies to Airfryer and cook for about 25-30 minutes giving them a lil' shake shake shake every couple of minutes.
-Add a spritz of fresh lemon
PS I don't measure I just throw in
PSS While shopping at Motts, I spotted Walnut Creek Peanut Butter Granola.

Do you have an oil & vinegar tasting room near you? What your favorite pairings and/or recipes?
