Do you have a blender or grinder of some sort? Do you have a bathtub or sink? Do you have a kitchen, with a pantry that has your good old fashion oats and baking soda sitting on it's shelf? If your answer is yes, then you're in luck!

Oatmeal baths are cheap and effective ways to relieve itchy annoying skin on our fur babies and ourselves. Oatmeal soothes, nourishes, and moisturizes the skin. It also provides a protective barrier and the barrier is what helps relieve the itching.
Want to take an extra step? Add 100% theraputic grade Eden's Garden Lavender essential oil. Lavender is most commonly known for it's relaxing effects on the body especially for the skin. It also smells fabulouso!
Okay so here is what you'll need:
* Grinder
*1 cup of ground oatmeal
*1/2 cup Baking Soda
*10 drops of lavender essential oil (optional)
* 1 Cup water
Here is what you'll need to do:
* Mix all ingredients into a small bowl and if you added essential oil take a deep breathe. Mmm it smells so good!
* Put your pup or yourself in a nice warm bath rinsing and soaking.
* Rub/massage the oatmeal mix all over avoiding the eyes.
* Leave on your pup for 5 minutes then rinse thoroughly.
* If your human self is taking the oatmeal bath, soak in there until you prune, listen to your favorite tunes and request for your significant other to get you a glass of wine. When done, lather up in coconut oil.
Here's some products I use:

>>> Side note: It felt impossible to get all the oatmeal out of my dogs hair in the tub, but it came all off after they were dried and brushed.
Did it provide any relief? How does your skin feel?
